4. GMC National Training Survey

The GMC National Training Survey is a core part of the work carried out by the GMC, post-graduate deaneries and local education providers to monitor and improve the quality of medical education and training in the UK. Engagement with quality management processes is one of the foundation competences, evidence of which is required as part of the F1/F2 sign-off process, and completion of the GMC National Training Survey is one of the easiest ways to obtain this competence. The survey usually runs from May – July each year, with a set census date. Trainees will receive details of how to access the 2012 survey in May 2012.
