Run Through Pilot in Otolaryngology v2.pdf1.75 MB

The recruitment process for the first year of the otolaryngology run through pilot programme commences in the next few days. Recruitment will be via the National Core Surgical Training Application Process.  Applications commence at 10am on Wednesday 8th November and will close at 4pm on Thursday 30th November 2017. Candidates who wish to join the pilot in 2018 must apply in this recruitment ‘window’.

The posts themselves will be included in the preferencing process for candidates which will take place initially in January 2018.

Applications are welcome from trainees eligible to apply for core surgery, and applicants will be able to rank their preferences in January 2018 in the normal way. They may for instance put as their first preference an otolaryngology run-through post in a particular LETB, a surgery core training post in the same LETB as their second ranked preference, and an otolaryngology run through post in a different LETB as their third preference. They can therefore apply both for otolaryngology run-through and core posts in the same recruitment process if they wish.
