TFS Application Form

Applicants for TFS academic foundation programmes will be required to complete a brief on-line application form.  Please click here to access the TFS on-line application form.

Please note that applicants are NOT required to complete the registration section of the Pathway site  and can go straight to the Thames Foundation Schools academic vacancy and start completing the application form immediately. Please follow the instructions via the screenshots on page 4 of the TFS Applicant Guide which you can download from the bottom of this page.

 NATIONAL PROCESS

The UKFPO has published guidance for applicants to the 2012 academic foundation programme (AFP) containing comprehensive details on both stages of this year’s application process plus a timeline showing key dates. 

Please note: In order to apply for an Academic Foundation Programme for 2012 entry, you must either have graduated (or will graduate) from a UK medical school between August 2010 and August 2012; or you must submit your eligibility documentation to the UKFPO Eligibility Office between 4 and 15 April 2011. If you do not submit this documentation, you may still have the opportunity to apply for the Foundation Programme 2012 through the main national recruitment process.

THAMES FOUNDATION SCHOOLS UNIT OF APPLICATION (TFS UoA)

North Central Thames, North East Thames, North West Thames and South Thames Foundation Schools have joined together to form the Thames Foundation Schools unit of application (UoA) for the purpose of recruiting to academic foundation programmes commencing in August 2012.

NB: Please note that as TFS will be holding 6 sets of interviews spread throughout the period mid-July – early September, we regret that it will not be possible to offer telephone interviews.

Interview allocation - guidelines

Applicants will be asked to indicate their availability to attend each of the six dates as part of the TFS on-line application process.  Applicants will be interviewed at the site of their first preference programme wherever possible, however, this will depend upon applicant availability and score. 

Please note that interviewers will not be issued with applicants’ programme preferences so your choice of programme/interview session will not affect your application.
